The School Zone

Hello Parents,

My name is Keith Schumacher, and I am an exploratory teacher at Mira Loma Middle School in the Jurupa Unified School District.  Each school year will bring new challenges and changes to all of the classes at MLMS.  The exploratory course I teach at Mira Loma is titled Personal and Social Responsibility (or PSR class).  I will be utilizing the AVID class model in addition to the curriculum I teach.  I will have more information about the AVID model  posted here soon. 

Besides being an Exploratory teacher, I am also the staff facilitator/teacher for our Journalism class that publishes the student newspaper of Mira Loma Middle School: the Mountain Lion Talk newspaper.  Additionally, I am the Tech Coordinator at our school site, working on the school web site, assisting other teachers with technology questions, training teachers on use of new equipment and software, and troubleshooting when things don't work as planned. 

For my classes, I will use the Homework Connection forums of the school website to post assignments and helpful hints to guide students in completing  school work.
